Buying a log house or cabin from Anglia Log Cabins will be one of the best investments you ever make. The versatility is huge; you can use them as home offices, classrooms, holiday homes or as an annex to a house or to live in all year round.

There are many log houses and cabins to choose from and each can be tailored to suit you. The price includes the consultation, the basic kit, specifications, transport and erection and we will obtain planning permission for you where necessary.

These homes come with a 10 year guarantee (available on request) providing you follow a straight forward maintenance regime. They last for many years having first been built to house people in Scandinavian countries to protect them from their extremely harsh winters. Solid wood is an excellent insulator making your home very energy efficient, heat is stored inside the structure but the wood prevents transfer of heat or cold and so optimum temperatures are maintained throughout the year.

The time required for your requisite planning permission will depend on your local authority. From placing your order, delivery of your log house or cabin is approximately ten to twelve weeks and it will take about tweleve weeks for Anglia Log Cabins to erect and complete a medium sized cabin.

Should you decide to build your cabin yourself, although we always recommend professional help for a project of this size, your kit comes with:

• All foundation timbers
• All roof purlins and rafters
• Felt shingle roof
• Any insulation materials for the roof (no insulation in basic kit price)
• All exterior wall logs and beams
• All balconies and terracing wood structure where necessary
• All interior log walls and beams (where necessary)
• All flooring joists and boards
• All first floor joists and boards (as necessary)
• All window frames
• All door frames
• All stair cases where necessary
