» How do I choose the right cabin? How Do I Choose The Right Cabin?Once you have decided that a log cabin is definitely for you we will help you choose your cabin from our extensive range, and then design the layout which will be personal to you, along with all the specifications. This is the time to think carefully about everything you want from the cabin; space, fixtures, light etc because once the cabin is manufactured, it is difficult to make changes during the build, and if you do, it will significantly slow the progress of your log cabin project. How Much Does A Log Cabin Cost?Having finalised your cabin drawings, plans and specifications we will be able to furnish you with a firm project cost. At this stage we will also make any necessary enquiries regarding planning permission to give you an idea of what will be involved in obtaining permission for your cabin. Do I Need Planning Permission?Planning permission for your cabin is not always necessary but in conjunction with an approved Local Authority Building Control inspector, we will assess your needs in terms of planning permission and then make any required application on your behalf, dealing with any issues which may arise along the way. Is A Site Visit Required?A site visit is required before you order to establish practical considerations such access and amenities and this will also help us draw up a project timescale for you. When I'm Happy With Everything, How Do I Order My Log Cabin?It is at this point we will have finalised all the details of the project with you and taken receipt of the deposit. This allows us to order the timber and materials for your log cabin which will arrive within eight to ten weeks. Do You Project Manage The Build?Once your cabin has arrived on site, so will our team. We co-ordinate our strong and experienced team who will erect the cabin and connect all the amenities so you will take possession of a completed cabin without having to arrange many different trades people yourself. How Long Will It Take?Timescales vary according to each cabin design and size and factors such as the weather but a typical two bed cabin takes approximately four to five weeks to complete in the dry season. What Happens During Completion?Having built the log cabin we will meet you on site to handover. This meeting will consist of us giving you the keys, a tour of the cabin with a talk about operating the fittings, amenities, what will happen in terms of settlement and the occasional maintenance you will have to treat the cabin to. Final payment will be due at this time. Who Maintains The Log Cabin?We pride ourselves on the quality of service we offer and because of this we will return to site in a few months after handover to make any necessary adjustments to windows and doors etc but we are always available if you have a problem which falls within warranty. Can I Get References?It is important to us that you are very happy with the company you choose to design and build your log cabin and so we are more than happy to provide references on request and can arrange viewings of our previous projects. |
